A. Conducting surveys of teachers/staff as to the extent to which they perceive:
1) decisions to be made at levels appropriate for effective performance
2) decision-makers to be aware of problems, particularly problems at lower levels
3) themselves as being involved in major decisions related to their work
4) the adequacy of information being given to them and their work group regarding what is going on in other departments
5) the organization tells the work group exactly what it needs to know to do the best possible job
6) the school board as setting high performance goals for educational excellence
7) the superintendent as setting high performance goals for educational excellence
8) different departments planning together and coordinating their efforts
9) administrators, staff, and students working together as a team
10) conflicts as being resolved in some typical or common fashion
11) the administrator as making sure that planning and setting priorities is well done
12) the administrator as having high goals for educational performance
13) the administrator as feeling responsible for ensuring the educational excellence is achieved
14) the administrator as seeking and using ideas about academic matters
15) the administrator as seeking and using ideas about nonacademic matters
16) the administrator to be using group meetings to solve problems
17) the administrator to be handling the administrative aspects of the job well
18) the administrator as handling the technical (or educational) aspects of the job well
19) themselves as having confidence and trust in the administrator
