Further, property crime is considered less urgent than other types of crime like homicide or drug trafficking, so authorities often fail to allocate enough law enforcement officials to handle the growing problem. Further, the efforts of law enforcement are further hampered by a lack of coordination between local, state, federal and international authorities.
