Case Analysis
This is an excerpt from the paper...
Celia Sturgis and Ruth Skinner are co-owners of Nob Hill Custom Bed Coverings. Of different backgrounds, values, and work ethics, the two partners do share many interests in common. Communication between the two women is hampered due to differences in work ethic, the handling of finances, and the conflict between their husbands who openly resent each other’s influence on the business. Celia’s and Ruth’s communication is further hampered by Ruth’s denials and Celia’s emotions. Finally, Celia is frustrated over Ruth’s lack of commitment to the business and her recent discovery that Ruth’s administration of the company’s finances has been less than desirable.
