There are many pedagogical formats for studying for examinations. As with any pedagogical ideology, there is debate over which methods of education produce the greatest learning and results for learners. When it comes to preparing for examinations, there are few more significant experiences for the learner. Exam preparation is the key to exam performance. The two are directly related. Exam preparation increases the chances for exam performance success, i.e., higher grades, higher grade point averages, and a chance for greater learning and retention. Exam preparation not only prepares students for examination success but also for success in their post-graduate studies and employment career. This essay will describe different methods of preparing for examinations in order to reveal some of the methods by which exam performance may be enhanced.One of the most critical components of successful exam preparation is not procrastinating. Learning to budget time and time management skills greatly enhance academic learning. Many students who perform well on exams point to their willingness to study as they go along during a term, a little here and there, instead of overloading themselves with long hours of study the night before an examination.
