Discrimination Sites

This is an excerpt from the paper...

The KKK.com Homepage (http://www.kkk.com)

This page is sponsored by Ku Klux Klan members who are “interested in preserving and relaying the unadulterated truth about the Invisible Empire” (KKK, 2000, 1). While this is the purported purpose of the KKK Homepage, it is also a site with links to various Klan groups across the country. These site links lead to Klan group sites where interested individuals can apply for membership through E-Applications. The KKK Homepage advises you that if you are “anti-racialist” you should proceed no further into their Web Site (KKK, 2000, 1). The site is useful, if nauseating, for providing a host of information about the KKK for members and those interested as potential members. Various hot buttons lead to link pages that explain the KKK, such as “Klan Symbols”, “The Fiery Cross”, and “The Robe and Hood”. There are also articles which provide information on past, present and future Klan achievements and goals, such as an article entitled “Guide to the Fifth Era”. There is also a link for KKK contacts and one that allows individuals to purchase KKK trinkets.

The KKK Web Site is useful for understanding the group and its goals, especially the link that allows one to access the “KKK Political Program.” Here the Klan professes to be issues oriented rather than politically oriented, because it supports any candidate who adopts a favorable position on its core issues designed to reinforce white Christian societ

War is known as the World Church of the Creator (WCOTC), a “Powerful new religious creed structured for the survival, expansion, and advancement of nature’s finest, the white race” (Skinheads, 2000, 1). To this group, their white race is their religion. The members of the WCOTC believe that Christianity was invented by the Jews as a tool with which to destroy the white race. The site includes many linked pages which includes topics such as: Supreme Leader, Skinheads, The Struggle, Church Educational Items, Honkey Hackers, Hate Mail, and others. The Web Site is useful for understanding the discriminatory ideology and actions of the Skinheads who are members of the WCOTC. For example, the Skinhead link carries a cartoon of a powerful WCOTC member holding a stereotyped picture of a Jewish man in his hand. He is squeezing the Jew until his blood runs over his fist. Only if you are a skinhead, white separatist, KKK, Neo-Nazi or White Racial Loyalist are you invited to use this Web Site White Aryan Resistance (http://www.resist.com) The White Aryan Race membership sponsors this Web Site. It leaves no question about its racist nature. The Homepage features an intimidating close-up of a wolf’s eyes underlined by the phrase
