As Europemedia maintains, “Newspaper readers switch brand online, with interesting cross-readership patterns between offline and online newspapers. Some 66% of online Guardian readers visit its online site, but 19% also visit The Suns site – a newspaper that only seven per cent of them read offline” (Europeans 1).
The Telegraph
There really is no banner headline offered on The Telegraph home page. Instead, the online publication offers readers a series of top stories with photographs that represent what it believes are the most significant or interesting news of the day (See Appendix One). Much more than does The Guardian but on a similar level as The Times, The Telegraph offers an eye-popping variety of content on its home page (See Appendix Two).
