There are many who argue that journalists should take more of a personal role in their stories. Traditionally journalists are viewed as professionals who must at all times exhibit a lack of bias and a high degree of objectivity in their reporting of news stories. However, as the media continues to transform including the ways people receive their news (TV, 24-7 News Outlets, and the Internet), perceptions about the role of the modern journalist are changing. This is particularly true with respect to conflict. Journalists often view conflict as the breads and butter of journalism. Journalists often cover stories where moral and ethical issues are fought between different groups, for example the Pro Life and Anti-Abortion lobbies. Such conflicts often lead to a questioning of the role played by journalists who cover them.
