The implementation by management of a technology system in the business environment can greatly improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization. This is true not only in terms of greater efficiency and productivity, but also when it comes to generating new levels of organizational integration. Therefore, successful implementation of computer systems in the business environment is critical for reaping these goals. At all times the system must be one that provides scalability, expandability, and integratability for optimal long-term success. Such elements incorporated into system development achieve what Mead (et al.) labels “survivability”, (2).
