Special attention has been paid lately to the trends in organizational training of employees. Due to technology and high costs, innovative methods of class-room and on-the-job training have been being developed in many corporations and organizations around the globe. In today’s competitive, increasingly technological global marketplace, the need for training, on-going training, is essential to the productivity and long-term growth of any organization, “Like millions of kids across the country, America's workers are going back to school. But they aren't just headed for stress-management seminars held in climate-controlled corporate classrooms. Today, the education and training of much of the modern labor force is as sophisticated, lively and diverse as the state-of-the-art American workplace. And given the brutal realities of a recession-wracked global economy, it is deadly serious,” (Dentzer, 1992: 1). This analysis will discuss some of the on-the-job and class-room training programs being developed by American organizations to combat this growing challenge.

For many of today’s corporations, one of the things that hinders growth is their inability to introduce new technologies due to inexperience among the people who must maintain and use them.
