Saudi Internet

This is an excerpt from the paper...

The following proposal for a qualitative literature review is designed to investigate the impact of the Internet on commerce in Saudi Arabia. The introduction discusses the significance of the problem and the general Internet and commerce trends in Saudi Arabia. The introduction also reveals the obstacles and challenges facing Saudi Arabian businesses in order to take advantage of the commercial potential of the Internet. The methods section discusses the steps that will be taken in order to research, synthesize and write the final research report. A results section follows which discusses the expected results from this investigation, including ones primary and ancillary to the research topic. A limitations section discusses some of the possible limitations that may be inherent in this research. A references section follows with a section that includes a table of economic facts on Saudi Arabia.

State-owned oil giant Saudi Aramco, no laggard in marketing and technology, has no official Web site and is not expected to launch one until the Internet is available in the kingdom. At the moment, Aramco’s web pages showing jobs or company background are set up from the United States” (Blair, 1998, 2). Despite gaining access to the Internet and the myriad issues still facing Saudi Arabia businesses and the government, there are other problems that will need addressed before the full impact of the Internet on Saudi Arabian commerce can be assess
