One type of organizational change is structural change. Structural changes affect certain aspects of the formal task and authority definitions in an organization. Job redesign reflects the theory that productive efficiency, job satisfaction, and product quality increase when jobs include a significant amount of autonomy and variety, and when employees receive regular feedback from their supervisor. System-4 change would need to occur when there is a mismatch between the organizational structure and the demands of the job environment.
