Re: Request for Consideration for admission to the Marriage and Family Therapy Program This letter is a formal request for you to consider my candidacy for entry into the Marriage and Family Therapy Program of the Department of Human Development. In this letter, I state my qualifications for entry into the masters degree program; my motivations for pursuing a course of study in Marriage and Family Therapy; and my reasons for choosing Southeastern Louisiana University to pursue this course of study.
I received an undergraduate degree from Southeastern Louisiana University with a major in Sociology. I satisfied many of the requirements for entry into the Marriage and Family Therapy Program during my undergraduate studies at the University. I also have 12 years experience as a special education teacher at the elementary school level.
I have reviewed the admission requirements for the master's degree program in Counseling at the Department of Human Development. I believe that I meet all of the requirements for entry into the master's degree program in Counseling with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy. My application portfolio includes all of the information required for the Admissions Committee to consider my request for entry into the master's degree program.
