Article Analysis: Interventional Research Study The purpose of this study was to present a pilot study. Students participated in a one-on-one interview to determine their communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities, prior to their participation in the Healthy Transition Program. These student responses were evaluated. Subjects for the study were 78 participating students in Baltimore middle schools (inner city sixth and seventh graders). Findings of the study were: 32% of foreseen consequences were aggressive; 62% of consequences suggested were categorized as between peers and many were negative; most solution responses were considered socially acceptable; and subjects provided negative consequences even for solutions were positive.
