The purpose of this research study was to examine the situation at the Consumer Loan Department of the target organization, a community bank, with a view toward developing recommendations to improve the organizational productivity of the Consumer Loan Department. The increased volume of activity has overwhelmed the capacity of the document management function in the Consumer Loan Department to the point that efficiency, productivity, and the level of customer service all are deteriorating.

The selected option is the alternative policy decision. The alternative policy decision option in relation to the project problem and characteristics of the target organizationùthe community bankùis characterized by the fewest and least significant constraints. Further, the driving force for selection of this option is that of all the available options the alternative policy decision option has the highest probability of success. Therefore the selected project option is the alternative policy decision.
