Senior Project Proposal Submitted in Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree

The proposed project will investigate the abuse of siblings by a now 16-year old adolescent. For the past 18 months, this researcher has provided psychotherapy to the patient, who for the purposes of this project is referred to as "Arthur". Arthur's abusive behavior toward his siblings involved children (one boy and one girl) who are younger than he is (the brother is now nine years old and the sister is now 12 years old). Arthur's abusive behavior involved both physical violence and sexual contact.

Development of qualifications by this researcher to perform the psychotherapy involved study at the Union Institute, Los Angeles Center. These studies included the following topics:

Self-primalling and its danger: Abreaction and overload

Recognizing defenses and secondary feelings

Brain development and its implication for psychotherapy, treatments in general and specifically for Primal Therapy
