The topic of Gay, Lesbians, and Bisexuals (GLB) in Palm Springs and related problems is presented in this paper. The causes of problems that are occurring in this community due to the GLB community are presented and this is followed by a discussion of psychological interventions to decrease social problems, a critique of positive and negative outcomes of interventions, ethical issues, and methods to evaluate outcomes. Research findings showed that GLB in Palm Springs are prevalent since this lifestyle is acceptable. However, problems due to AIDS, economics and dissatisfaction with city life are present. The GLB population in this area suffer from drug abuse, depression and HIV/AIDS and isolation, and low self-esteem contribute to the problems. Homophobia and heterosexism are considered causes of the isolation and low self-esteem and problems in the GLB population.
