Germs in the Workplace
This is an excerpt from the paper...
Workplace employees are suffering some illnesses from work, such as colds, allergies, flu, arthritis, fever, and headache. Those problems make employees report in sick to managers for everyday work. All those illnesses are obtained from germs in the workplace and are causing estimated billions of dollars in business losses annually. On the job, productivity losses due to absenteeism are very high and employers spend money for worker illnesses and disability benefits. For conditions such as allergies and headaches, on the job productivity losses could account for a lot of percentage of employer's total illness costs. Employees are facing germs everyday within any indoor workplace environment. Especially, the fumes and residues of conventional cleaning chemicals, are ultimately affecting the health and safety of individuals within a building. Mostly children, individuals with disabilities, and the elderly have faced these problems. People lose their voices during a day without any reason, experience dizziness without cause; and leave work with migraine headaches everyday. My proposal will be for workplace managers to decentralize tasks in order for employees to come up with some input for managers and employees to seek some alternatives to resolve these problems. Managers and employees have to work together to implement a daily health and safety á cleaning program to resolve many of these issues and defuse various awkward situations.áWhen the workplace managers are present

Others may want to step up efforts to clean and disinfect commonly touched surfaces throughout the workplace, such as desks, stairs, rails and doorknobs because cold and flu germs can live on inanimate objects for a period of time. It is important to remember that every surface you touch has been touched by, at the least, one other person. With this in mind, employers should encourage workers to keep their fingers away from their noses and eyes, and to wash their hands after touching a surface that has been touched by someone with a cold or the flu.
áááááAttitude will play an important role in fighting germs in the workplace. If the employees have good job satisfaction and a positive attitude then they will have a positive feeling about the job. That will help employees to work to fight germs in the work place to protect themselves and their jobs. Managers have to use different types of efficient cleaning products to sanitize in order to avoid an increase of the disease rate in the workplace. Products they can use include: ammonia, bleach, all-purpose cleaners, butyl cleaners, carpet bonnet cleaners, carpet extraction cleaners,
