This website gives a wealth of information on how to use the Internet, starting with the basics and offering tests of knowledge on the Internet. It gives instructions on how to cite sources, and information on copyright. A comparison of search engines is given, and a strategy for carrying out searches is suggested. Instructions are given for evaluating websites, and for comparing research models. Montgomery County Public School (MCPS) library services are explained. The site offers lists of good places to look for lesson plans, tutorials on internet use, online periodical resources for educators, information on standards, educational improvement technology, staff development information, information about professional organizations, the news media (broadcast and newspapers), and miscellaneous topics. There is a lot of information on this site for the newcomer to the Internet, but also much useful information for those familiar with its use. It is useful for both students and teachers, but is mostly slanted towards teachers.
This site has a lot of information on about their products, but unfortunately none of it can be printed out. This is a great drawback because it is difficult to share the information, say, at meetings to make decisions on purchases of equipment. The site is divided into separate pages for products, support, partners, online store, and a contact page. Each of these is subdivided into several other pages. For example, support is divided into technical, professional, development, intellishare, and local conferences. There is a product price list, but then there are divisions of education, home, government agencies, and seniors/rehabilitation to get more information on a product.
