The company mission of FedEx Express is to see what makes tomorrow work and to provide the necessary services on a timely basis. The company's vision is to be the organization that delivers the certainty that the world needs. The company's primary objective is to be the global leader in express transportation and in the provision of logistics-services associated with the global movement of airfreight packages.

There are several models for the conduct of e-commerce over the Internet and the World Wide Web (WWW). One such model is the brokerage model, wherein buyers and sellers are brought together to facilitate transactions. The brokerage model is the basic e-commerce business model followed by Federal Express.

Federal Express uses two manifestations of the brokerage e-commerce business model ù B2C (business-to-consumer) and B2B (business-to-business) model. B2C technology makes it possible for organizations to communicate directly with consumers. The B2C model does not necessarily mean that communications between and organizations and their customers are interactive, although many for-profit organizations with B2C operations do offer consumers to purchase products through their Web sites.
