1. Demonstrate how the net change in cash and cash equivalents explains the change in cash and equivalents that appears on the Balance Sheet on the 10-K for 5/31/04 compared to 5/31/03. The 2004 figure was $828 million. The 2003 figure for Cash and Equivalents from the Balance Sheet was $634 million meaning that cash and cash equivalents increased by $194 million in the 12-month period under review.
