Malabar Coast Tours
This is an excerpt from the paper...
The Internet can be an effective way for Malabar to promote its Kerala tours and further its business goals. However, the Internet site will need to be expanded from its current configuration, and will need to interface to the Malabar information system in order to prove effective. At this point, Malabar needs to consider the changes which should be made to the site itself and the way that users navigate the site, the interface between the information system and the Web site, and the technical requirements which are necessary to bring about the successful implementation of the site with the information system. The Web site needs to describe, in detail, the various tours which are available. Photos should be included on the site to make it interesting and to provide incentive to visitors to delve deeper into the site. Major credit cards will be accepted through the site.

Malabar's internal information system should include a list of travel agencies with whom Malabar has contracted. This should be in a database which can be searched on key items and which can be accessed from the Web site. In addition, Malabar will want to put each of its tours into a database, including the price, dates, and number of spaces left so that visitors to the Web site (and Malabar's own personnel) can inquire about the availability of certain trips and determine which tours have availability.
Ideally, the inventory database will be updated on a realtime basis with the result that any queries will return current information. If a tour for 12 individuals is booked, for ex
