LABOR HOURS PREDICTED BASED ON ROOMS AND CUBIC FEET For this analysis, it is predicted that cubic feet will predict the number of labor hours. The figure below provides further description of this model. To determine the best predictor of the number of labor hours required for a move, a stepwise regression was performed. The independent variables were cubic feet moved and/or number of rooms and the dependent variable was hours needed. It was predicted that the number of cubic feet moved would be a significant predictor of hours needed. Results showed that number of rooms was not a significant predictor and it was therefore dropped from the stepwise regression equation.
