Each November, Americans to come together in the democratic process to determine a new set of representatives who will govern the nation, from local counties right up to the White House. It is one thing to talk about the political process each November and have a general knowledge about the influence of the electorate, but it is quite another to experience a campaign first hand. Such first hand experience is gained by working more than 300 hours for Texas Congressman Lloyd Doggett's 2004 re-election campaign, especially in the Rio Grande Valley area and yielded a tremendously enlightened outlook of how the political process works.

For ten years, Congressman Lloyd Doggett represented the 10th Congressional District in Texas, but redistricting by the Texas legislature created a new district -- the 25th Congressional District, which Congressman Doggett now represents. Born, raised, and educated in Austin, Texas, Congressman Doggett is a Texas native, as is his wife, Libby. Congressman Doggett received his B.B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin in 1967 and went on to earn his Law Degree, Juris Doctor with Honors, from the University of Texas in 1970 (Congressman Lloyd Doggett, "Biography").
