The term Evangelicalism covers a large number of Protestant groups, and it is used today to cover a broad range of groups ranging from black Baptists, to Dutch reformed churches, to Mennonites, Pentecostalists, and Southern Baptists (Eskridge). It embraces beliefs of conversionism, the belief that lives can be changed; activism, the expression of the gospel in effort; biblicism, a particular regard for the Bible; and cruxicentricism, stress on the sacrifice of Christ on the cross. About 25 percent of the world's Christians are Pentecostal or charismatic (Pentecostals). This covers an estimated 450 million people.
