Organizational Design

This paper is a response to Mintzberg's (1981) article "Organization Design: Fashion or Fit?" The objective of the response is to describe and assess the organizational design of the organization with which I am affiliated within the framework conceived by Mintzberg (1981).

Professor Henry Mintzberg (1981) argued that it was more important for the organizational design of an organization or firm to correlate (fit) well with its goals, strategies, technologies, and external environment that it was for an organization or firm to implement the organizational design that may be the current management fad. Mintzberg (1981) envisioned five essential types of organizational designs
