This study compared environmental protection policy development and application in Japan, Korea, and the United States. At once, the reader is aware that the comparisons made involved two economically developed nations and one economically developing nation. Within such a comparative structure, it would not be surprising for the developing nation to fare badly in comparison to the developed nations. If fact, in this study such an outcome did occur.
