Analysis of Responses to the Decision Style Inventory The purpose of this essay is to compare and contrast the responses of two adult managers to the items found on The Decision Style Inventory and its Supplement. The participants in the research project were, respectively: . A married, childless female between the ages of 31 and 35 earning between $51 and $60 thousand per year with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, currently employed as a Middle Level Manager; . A married, childless male between the ages of 26 and 30 Earning between $46 and $50 thousand per year with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, currently employed as a Middle Level Manager. Both subjects identified their company as having no more than 50 employees; the female subject stated that she was the advertising and promotions manager for a tobacco store, while the male identified himself as the general manager of a video store. Both stated that they were the primary breadwinners in their respective marriages and indicated further that they had limited prior work experience and had not considered a transfer either on their own behalf or as a consequence of a spouse's work. Generally, the two subjects can be characterized as relatively similar in terms of certain key elements (i.e., marital status, educational level, managerial status, size of company, and career aspirations).
