School Budget Summary of Significant Changes The first request of the budget for 2005 is now ready for examination by the school board. In general, the amounts are either about the same as last year, or increased sufficiently to keep up with the inflation of the price of the costs. There were a few exceptions, however, which we will now examine.
At location zero, one of the teachers has left. The cost of recruiting a new one is, naturally, quite substantial. As of our six-month mark we had already spent $7,500 in this endeavor. For next year we are asking for $25,000 to complete the process. This is expected to be a one-time cost that will not be needed in the future, but is critical to the operation of Location 0 at this time.
Our postage, hone and other Marketing and Communications cost have risen across the board. Some items have more than doubled, such as the postage costs at Location 4 that increased 119% from $2,000 to $4,375. The In
