The work presented in this article was clear. The author stated in precise terms the goals that "guide the present study" (p. 126). The statements of the research goals were accompanied by brief statements of what the researcher expected to find in the investigations.
The work presented in the article was also well organized. It is an easy task for the reader to follow the logic of the researchers investigation, as well as to understand the progression from investigative goal to research outcome to conclusion.
The writing style and language used in this article was appropriate for use in a scholarly journal. While the narrative is neither stilted nor obtuse, it also avoids informal speech.
The theoretical basis for the investigation reported in the article is covered thoroughly in a literature review presented as a part of the article. Each of the three focal points of the investigation relationship satisfaction, communication competence, and actor observer bias, and the independent variable modes of anger expression are addressed in separate sections of the literature review (pp. 126 131).
