At the age of 18, the precise number of meaningful events in my life can be counted on one hand. At the same time, disappointing events surpassed depression and numerous ecstatic events elicited a mild and constant state of sublime elation. But "meaningful," a big word, suggests that some sort of change, an epiphonal moment occurs. In that case, the most meaningful event experienced so far is the move from South Carolina here to Austin. Since "event" resembles more than anything a frozen moment in time, the "event" was my decision to come to school here.
