The Real Estate Profession

This is an excerpt from the paper...

The Real Estate Profession is essentially a profession of service, and the human element enters into every sale and purchase of real property. As no two clients are the same, neither are any two buildings, which may differ in size, shape, construction and value, and are subject to deterioration and obsolescence. To contain this variety of clients and products, there are several professional organizations to serve the marketing and management functions of real estate, and all are affiliated with the National Association of REALTORS (NAR). To form this controlling organization, local boards were gradually grouped into state associations. By 1908, these associations were combined to form the National Association of Real E

Each realtor enrolling in RAP pledges to commit at least 24 hours to some political activity, with those who devote greater time eligible for recognition awards. Several thousand realtors were signed up for RAP by 1984."13 Many PACs form their strategies from the results of surveys which congressional members are asked to complete and return.
