Some doctors have had considerable success in using marijuana to treat pain and nausea, while others have found it to have no benefits. The drug needs to be investigated throughly so that those who may benefit from its use are not deprived of the relief it may offer, while at the same time, the promotion of the medical use of marijuana is not used to foster the legalization of marijuana as a recreational drug.
