rted her own successful online product sales company and looking for new adventure and profits, Gina became aware Sara's idea for a diet company through family connections. The two have been working together for a year and have already realized a small stream of revenue. However, Sara, rather than driving a Porshe, drives an old Toyota and ekes out a living doing odd jobs while the two are building the business together.

Sara and Gina meet one day to discuss ideas for Sara to act as a media spokesperson for their company. They have worked out a script and Sara is reading it back to Gina. Sara smiles and puts on her best marketing face. ôIf you want to lose weight, look no further than the nearest delicatessen. We'll show you how to eat any food, anywhere, any time, and still lose weight!ö She pauses. ôHow was that?ö

ôWellàit was a good read, but I'm wondering, have you ever thought about taking a speech or acting class?ö

Sara understood the implications of this comment immediately: Gina wasn't impressed. Sara had asked Gina for a judging response, and Gina was gingerly giving Sara an honest one. Gina's questioning response was appropriate, but for some reason Sara felt a fire quickly building inside her. Though quiet, Sara knew she was a speaking dynamo. She had taught classes and given presentations for years, though she had never mentioned this to Gina. Sara felt misjudged and misunderstood. It wasn't just this incident that was stoking the fire. For a number of months, Sara had been feeling insecure about her financial situation, especially in comparison to Gina's plush lifestyle. Gina had earned every penny in her account through hard work and hard knocks, Sara knew this. What Sara didn't understand was how Gina had become so successful so soon while Sara was still living the lifestyle of a starving student. After all, the two were almost the same age, in their early thirties.
