This project involved creating, testing, performing and analyzing a survey. The topic of the survey was Homeopathic Medicine, and the target sample was drawn from the physician and nurse database at Leominster Hospital in Massachusetts. In the following sections, we will explain the reason for the survey, the methodology, the test results, the final survey, and the indications and implications of the survey. The survey instrument is included in the appendix.

Homeopathic Medicine, the first in America, is experiencing a resurgence of interest in America. The number of people interested in the Homeopathic Approach is increasing (Packer-Tursman, 2001, T7). The Leominster Hospital is a part of the HealthAlliance, and has a connection with several hospitals in the area. There are currently no homeopathic procedures available. To determine the reason for this lack of alternative treatments, an attitudinal survey was conceived that would test the awareness level of the physicians and nurses responsible for primary treatment.

Chapter Five of the text gives good guidelines to the problems of designing a ôgoodö survey over a ôbadö survey. Of critical importance is the selection of the sample.
