Emotions or ment`l states encomp`ss a number of basic feelings like joy, anger, fear, surprise and a variety of others. My compilation and computation of my emotions over a three-day period illustrated a number of physiological and cognitive components of emotions.

I noticed that many of my emotions seemed to be triggered by both physiological and cognitive components. My computation of my emotions illustrated that a number of times in a three-day span my emotion of ôjoyö stemmed from my anticipation of eating something I enjoy. This demonstrated to me that emotions are often linked to the physical senses and associated neurological processes similar to the concept embodied by differential emotions theory.
