The increasing globalization and development of the world has serious ramifications with respect to the impact on environment. Global warming is a concept that refers to the buildup of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. The buildup of carbon dioxide causes the temperature of the atmosphere to rise, which causes sea level to rise, and the carbon dioxide is absorbed by the ocean ôacidifying the waterö (Socolow, p. 49). While no one knows for sure the impact of global warming in future, they know for sure it exits.Global warming could play havoc with the worldÆs climates, threaten ecosystems and marine life, and affect human health and well-being.
