Life Values
This is an excerpt from the paper...
Growing up in an Armenian Christian family, there were many values instilled in me by my family environment. Many of these related to religion and behavior, like treating others as one would like to be treated. There are two values I learned that have taught me an important lesson: 1) to value health as the greatest blessing; and 2) that a womanÆs place is in the home. The lesson these two values have taught me is that while some values learned in childhood grow stronger and are carried into adulthood, others often grow weaker and are abandoned. The first value I learned during my childhood that has only become more strongly held by me as I develop is to value oneÆs health as the greatest blessing. When young and full of energy and of good health, I did not realize the fully impact of this value.
