The distracting and unprofessional history of Terrell Owens as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles completely justifies his release by Coach Andy Reid and the Eagles. OwensĘ unprofessional behavior began in training camp 2005, when he refused to show up for practice because of desiring more money. Owens had previously signed a five-year contract with the Eagles, but he fired his old agent, hired a new one, Drew Rosenhaus, and demanded the Eagles pay him like other top receivers in the NFL. When he refused to participate in an autograph signing session, Coach Reid sent him home from training camp. Owens was scheduled to make $12 million in the first two years of his old contract, but he complained that other top receivers like Marvin Harrison make much more (Mortensen 3).
