Keyword searches of ômenÆs rightsö and ôwomenÆs rightsö on GoogleÆs search engine produced numerous listings of Web sites devoted to each genderÆs rights. Out of the ten sites selected, some generalizations emerged. A number of different countries, from Africa and Australia to the UK and US maintain Web sites devoted to both menÆs and womenÆs rights. However, womenÆs rights Web sites seem to be more global in nature and approach than the menÆs rights sites, which are generally local. WomenÆs rights sites also provided greater ôhistoryö of womenÆs movements than menÆs sites did of menÆs movements. A number of the womenÆs rights sites were sponsored by international government organizations like the U.N. Commission on Human Rights or groups like Amnesty International, in contrast to the menÆs rights sites.The five menÆs rights Web sites covered a variety of issues and concerns particular to men.
