Lolita

Lolita is the story of an inter-generational love affair driven by a manÆs sexual preoccupation with a teenage nymphet. This preoccupation is based on Humbert HumbertÆs sexual desire for Lolita but it is also based on his aesthetic appreciation of youthful innocence and physical perfection.

1. HumbertÆs desire for Lolita is based on his ability to appreciate her stage of development, an age when she is both wholesome and innocent but also on the verge of being a sexual temptress.
