The development of SMC's staffing plan is impacted by a number of variables. The current organization chart shows a Human Resources (HR) staff of two for a company of 100, but the workforce will have to be increased to accommodate the 100% output increase that increased demand requires. Putting aside the possibility of structural reorganization and work efficiency measures that are outside the scope of this paper, and assuming that the current staff is already working to capacity, the workforce in each department of the organization HR, customer service, finance/accounting, manufacturing, operations, and marketing/sales will have to double to meet this demand. Only the executive branch of the company can escape expansion one CEO and five directors should still be sufficient. Therefore, the total new staff required is projected as 94 employees, with a combined total company staff of 194 employees
