The jigsaw concept as a cooperative learning technique has applications far beyond the classroom environment (Aronson). Its potential for building intergroup relationships transfers to the accomplishment of many business and social efforts. One such effort might be the establishment of an inner-city, multicultural jobs program to relieve homelessness and boost employment in the area.
