I know that culture is transmitted from one generation to another within a family, because I have seen how it happens within my own family. As a Spanish family, we have many traditions that started long ago and have been passed down from my grandmother to my mother to me. One of these is the everyday tradition of eating dinner together every night at 7:30 p.m. My mother remembers doing this when she was a little girl, and it has always been this way in my own family as well. No one in the family makes other plans for dinnerùno study dates, no dinner out without the family, and no skipping dinner.
