Drug Store Experience

Actually, my local drugstore is a WalgreenÆs and , I rarely buy drugs there because I almost never need any; I buy the other products much more often. I believe industry management would gain something by studying WalgreenÆs. The crossover purchases they entice customers to make fit several categories. First, they offer items seen on TV, such as a portable steamer and a mop with microfiber pads. Most customers have seen these and wondered about them but did not want to send away for them. Next, they have excellent sales and coupon ads; many of my purchases are for these, because they offer a good bargain on items I wanted to buy anyway. I use phone cards for long distance calls, and I recently bought two phone cards there for the price of one, making my calls about 3.5 cents per minute; I havenÆt found a better deal anywhere else. Third, they have a lot of technology-related products, such as movies on DVD, music on CD, CD players, digital cameras, and blank CDs and DVDs. They have an excellent candy section, with some of my favorite candy that is hard to find elsewhere, like Toblerone.

I have never purchased a legal drug online, but I would if I used medications, could find a reliable source online, and got free or very low shipping. My WalgreenÆs store is only one minute away, and it has a drive-thru, so free shipping or a lower price would be the only better deals. I have purchased vitamins online from www.swansonvitamins.com, and I am extremely satisfied with them. Their prices are much lower than at the drug store or health food store, and their shipping is reasonable.
