In their attempts to navigate the U.S. economy and culture, immigrants to the United States face many difficulties. The difference between the American economy and that of most nations that immigrants originate from is large. Especially in the case of immigrants who come to the U.S. with little schooling, the economic culture shock is likely to be great.
