The following identifies examples of successful change initiatives and an example of an unsuccessful change initiative is presented. How the process aspects were utilized and ignored in each of the examples is also discussed. Initiatives presented included the introduction of faculty training for online teaching and counselor training for online career counseling. For each of these initiatives it was recognized that there would be a process involved in changing teachers and counselorĘs views and overcoming resistance to the changes needed. The school needed to update its systems and provide latest technological advances to students to maintain curriculum. Although teachers and the counselor had been participating in online facilities, an increase in these abilities was required. The school had been offering online assistance to students enrolled and coming to traditional classrooms. New changes required this online teaching and assistance to be offered to students not attending traditional classes. This meant that teachers and the counselor required training with an update of their skills and it also required that they learn a new way of teaching and interacting with students.
