In order to assure the safety of staff and students, information and training as necessary shall be provided to assist all administrative, classified, and credentialed employees to recognize and to respond appropriately to hazards in the workplace. This training would include but is not limited to techniques for the proper handling, labeling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials. Material Safety Data Sheets, which must accompany any hazardous substance used in the school, are maintained on file in the school office and elsewhere in the school as necessary. The MSDS data sheets and readily available to any employee who must handle or may be exposed to materials known to be hazardous, toxic, and/or carcinogenic. All workers are expected and required to conduct their work in compliance with first aid and infection control procedures established by the school and/or by the school district. According to the Kalispell Public School's staff guide, the following rules should apply: 1. Injuries must be reported immediately 2. All employees must make full use of safeguards provided for their protection 3. Employees must not operate a machine unless any required safety control device is in working order 4. Employees shall not use their hands or any portion of their bodies to reach between moving parts to remove jams 5. Employees shall not work under objects that could accidentally fall until such objects are properly secured
