The following research explores distance education technology as the wave of education in future, a way of bridging educational gaps that traditional education cannot span. Chapters one offers the statement problem, an overview of distance education technology and hypotheses, and the significance of the topic. This chapter also includes various definitions of distance education. Chapter two is an extensive review of the literature on distance education technology. This chapter also discusses open learning as the new educational “paradigm” which makes distance education technology possible and highly sought in modern education. Source descriptions are also rendered in chapter two. Chapter three involves the methodology, including data gathering techniques and limitations of the present study. Chapter four is an analysis of the data, including findings, overview, and data analysis. Chapter five is the conclusion which covers the summary and findings of the research, the discussion and conclusions, and recommendations. Nine statistical tables and the references used finish the report.
