Neurochemical analysis of monkeys by these researchers has shown that aggressive behavior in monkeys is linked to low serotonin levels in the brain, and high levels are found in the more sophisticated monkeys. This matches results found in humans. Men who occupy higher levels in the workplace tend to have higher serotonin levels than those who don't. While some people are genetically predisposed to have high or low serotonin levels, some studies have shown that the higher a man rises in his career, the more serotonin he produces.
