Organizational culture can thus be described as the philosophies, norms, values and rules observed within a company (Luthans, p. 563). These are not necessarily written down, but the individuals within the company have codified the culture nonetheless. Every organization has a culture, but the exact rules and regulations differ from company to company. Individuals who work for companies where they do not fit the corporate culture are unlikely to remain at that company for long. Instead, either they will leave the company in search of an environment where their personal values and characteristics are more in synchronization with the organizational culture.
